Biography

Chris’ career in the entertainment industry can be summarized in three words: stimulating, diverse, and long-lived. He is a professional director and a member of the Society of Directors and Choreographers. He is seasoned actor appearing on stage, TV and film, and a member of Actors Equity Association, The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and The Screen Actors Guild. He is a voice over artist; and a master instructor of voice, speech and acting at The Summer Conservatory at The New York Academy for Dramatic Arts.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Emerson College and a Master of Fine Arts from The Alabama Shakespeare Festival’s Professional Actor Training Program.

He is a recipient of both The Carbonell for his performance in The Mystery of Irma Vep at The Florida Shakespeare Festival and a Barrymore Award for his part in the ensemble of The Philadelphia Theatre Companies production of Side Man. In 2009 he was nominated for the prestigious Alan Schneider Directing Award through The Theatre Communications Group; one of only very few to receive such an honor. Also in 2009 he was nominated for The Performer of The Year from The Alliance of the Arts in Lee County, Florida

For the past four years, Chris has served as the Associate Artistic Director of The Florida Repertory Theatre where he has directed and performed in over 20 productions.

Chris has brought together all of his experiences to create a one-man show, “A Little More than you Wanted to Spend”, of which Dennis Cunningham of CBS News wrote:
